The Netball Players Association (NPA) was established seven years ago and now forms an integral part of the landscape of elite netball in the United Kingdom. The NPA works with and supports the professional and semi-professional netball players in the Netball Super League, NXT Gen league and the home nations national squads.

As netball embarks on its journey to professionalisation the NPA is pleased to share its Strategic Plan 2025-2028, which sets out the aims and objectives to contribute to the professionalisation of the sport.   Central to the plan is ensuring that the players voice is heard and remains integral to future planning, and that players are properly supported and rewarded for the part they play in growing the popularity and commercial success of the sport.

NPA CEO Liz Bloor said

Our vision, “To be one of the best player associations, working collaboratively to ensure the provision of support for female athletes to enable players to thrive both on and off the court”, remains unchanged but as the elite netball environment has matured and the challenges for players has grown the NPA has taken this timely opportunity to update its strategic plan. Providing an independent player’s voice while working closely with other stakeholders in the elite netball environment is at the heart of what we are striving to achieve to contribute to a successful and sustainable future for the sport.”

Alongside the NPA’s new strategy we have taken the opportunity to refresh our brand reflecting our commitment to the exciting future which lies ahead.

NPA Player Chair, Ella Clark said

“The NPAs role with the players has grown so much since it started that it feels like the right time for the new strategy and a new brand.  The support for the players has increased year on year as the sport has grown and this was particularly valuable to us through the professionalisation process. It is an exciting time for netball and ensuring our voice is heard at strategic levels of the game where key decisions are made is so important to the players and the NPA will continue to drive that forward.”
