Delivered by Netball Scotland’s most experienced tutors, Mary-Ann Cosgrove and Leighanne Carracher, our members benefitted from the wealth of knowledge and expertise both tutors brought to the course content.
The Coaching Course is just one of several online athlete resources being delivered by the NPA to its members and we believe it to be one of the first virtual coaching courses available to netballers.
“It has been a pleasure to deliver the level 2 course to the NPA Superleague athletes and to be able to make a positive contribution to their coaching journey. The athletes have engaged very well with Leigh Anne and myself, bringing enthusiasm, commitment and an open to learning attitude to the sessions which has been most enjoyable. We are delighted we have been able to design the online course in a way which could be delivered around their Superleague training commitments.” Mary Ann Cosgrove, Netball Scotland Tutor
With the support of the Tom Maynard Trust, the NPA were able to offer some financial support to the U25s taking part in the course.
We would also like to thank the clubs, counties and employers who have helped other players fund their course and benefit from this unique experience.
“For any members interested in getting their level 2 coaching qualification I highly recommend this virtual course. Leigh-anne and Mary are both great tutors. Both really informative and supportive. Sign up you won't regret it!” Jodie Gibson, Mavericks and England
“I am really grateful that the NPA and netball Scotland have organised a coaching course that can fit around a Superleague athlete’s schedule. The sessions have been brilliant and I have enjoyed further developing my coaching knowledge and skills” Emily Gulvin, Surrey Storm
