The NPA is pleased to announce the appointment of Vicki Oyesola and Alex Johnson as Vice Chairs of the Player Representative Committee. Vicki and Alex will join player Chair Ella Clark as part of the Board to keep the player’s voice at the heart of the NPA.
The Player Representative Committee brings together a player from each of the eight Super League clubs which informs and drives the strategic direction of the NPA to ensure that it is delivering on its mission of representing and unifying the voice of elite netball players.
The NPA is delighted to have two such strong candidates for the vice chair role each of whom bring different skills and experience. Vicki and Alex have played in several clubs through their Super League careers and have great connections with so many of the NPA’s members. “The Board is looking forward to working with them regularly” said Liz Bloor, NPA CEO.
Vicki, who plays for London Mavericks and is in the Roses programme said “I want to bring a new energy and drive to the role of vice chair. I think with the development of the new Super League and the trajectory of professionalism within netball right now it is an exciting time for the NPA to take up more space and be a strong body to represent player interests.”
Alex, who plays for Cardiff Dragons and is in the Welsh Feathers squad, said “Having received the benefits of the NPA myself, I am passionate about providing the same support and development opportunities for players at all levels. I have a collaborative and approachable leadership style, which will allow me to build strong relationships and foster open communication especially for the younger players in the group.”
